Zomato to acquire grocery delivery platform Blinkit

The deal is worth ₹4,447 crore (about $570 million), Bloomberg said. This will be paid by Zomato in the form of shares of the parent company.

Blinkit was one of more than 40 unicorns - or startups valued at over $1 billion - created in India last year, according to a report by Livemint.

Zomato will issue up to 629 million shares, representing a 6.88% stake on a fully diluted basis, at an allotment price of ₹70.76 per share, Zomato said in a regulatory filing.
